Constructing stamped flooring is just that simple.

Created on 08.16
Stamped flooring can realistically imitate the texture and color of many high-end architectural decoration materials on the concrete surface. It changes the dull and indifferent appearance of the concrete surface, presenting effects that are very similar to natural granite, marble, volcanic rock, bluestone slabs, wood planks, masonry and so on. It can deliberately show the roughness, unevenness and complex textures of natural materials, and can also be as flat as water and as bright as a mirror. The unlimited color combinations and mold choices allow designers' imagination to run wild. Stamped flooring has many different names according to its different textures. Its applicable places are very extensive: squares, driveways, central green spaces, outdoor courtyards, parks, entertainment venues, parking lots, background walls, residential quarters, water parks, resorts, golf courses, indoor floors, etc.
The construction process of stamped flooring is divided into the following steps: slurry lifting and finishing → spreading reinforcing material → fine finishing → supplementing reinforcing material → secondary finishing → spreading release powder → imprinting the ground with molds → closing the road → washing the artistic ground → brushing protective agent → completion.
Climate change: To ensure the construction quality, the construction of artistic flooring should avoid windy, sandy, rainy, snowy and freezing weather.
Material preparation: Neatly stack the paving materials such as artistic flooring reinforcing agent, release powder, protective agent, construction tools and professional molds in order.
Surface treatment: Level the concrete surface with an artistic flooring trowel and wait for the surface moisture to dissipate.
Use of detergents: Commercially available detergents can remove relatively new oil stains, and the earlier the better.
Scraping treatment: Scrape off excess mud spots, splashed cement and patching materials with a trowel or small shovel.
Abrasive discs or polishing discs: For large-scale construction, a floor grinder is needed, and appropriate discs should be selected.
Chemical removal: Organic solvent sulfamic acid and inorganic acid. Check their safety and corrosiveness before use.
Mud application: Use some inert powders such as hydrated lime, quartz powder, etc., add some solvents to make a mud-like paste, apply it on the stains, and it can be easily scraped off after drying.
Diamond grinder: Pay attention to selecting the grinding disc.
Sandblaster: It can remove stubborn stains, but may leave obvious marks.
Rotary floor brush: After all the above procedures, perform a complete and thorough cleaning.
When the concrete surface is clean, start the water inspection test to ensure that there are no stains on the concrete surface, and the preparation work is completed.
Spreading stage: Spread the artistic flooring reinforcing agent twice before the initial setting of the concrete. Spread about 2/3 of the amount for the first time, and immediately spread the artistic flooring release powder evenly after spreading about 1/3 for the second time. After being fully moistened, a trowel should be used to help the ingredients penetrate the entire concrete surface.
Concrete stamping: When the artistic flooring reinforcing agent and release powder are combined but not completely set, use special molds for artistic flooring to perform embossing and forming.
Concrete maintenance: After the entire concrete surface is dry, roll-coat two coats of sealing protective agent, with a dosage of about 0.33 kg/m². The second coat of protective agent must be applied only after the first coat is completely dry.
Notes:
  1. For the development of the stamped flooring project, each task should be clearly understood, from preparation to completion of treatment, and special attention should be paid to handling the time issue. Sometimes some tasks need to be compressed in time and rushed, but for chemical coloring projects, this can easily cause devastating impacts.
  2. Personnel should be warned not to walk in the colored area to effectively protect the ground.
